Internships

The six national laboratories that comprise the Bioprocessing Separations Consortium offer numerous internship opportunities to develop the next generation of scientists.

Each of the six U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories that comprise the Bioprocessing Separations Consortium offers a multitude of internship opportunities for the next generation of scientists. Click on the links below to learn more!

Detailed information on specific programs that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) sponsors or partners with can be found below. Please note that not all internships or programs involve working directly with the Bioprocessing Separations Consortium. All national laboratories in the Bioprocessing Separations Consortium participate in these programs.

“Working at NREL during the summer was an enriching experience in which I was mentored by experts in chemical separations. They not only valued my contributions to the project but also ensured that my internship supported my development as a researcher. Most importantly, I felt that our research had a direct impact on scaling up renewable energy processes.”

“My internship with the Bioprocessing Separations team at Argonne allowed me to deepen my understanding of programming and electrochemical separation technologies like Capacitive Deionization (CDI). This experience not only enhanced my technical skills but also allowed me to understand research is a field I would want to pursue and continue my academic career with graduate school.”
