DOE Announces Funding for Separations Research to Reduce Transportation Emissions

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced over $64 million in funding for 22 projects focused on developing technologies and processes that produce low-cost and low-carbon biofuels. This includes more than $8.8 million for 3 projects that focus on separations to enable biomass conversion and will involve collaboration with the Bioprocessing Separations Consortium to address critical bioprocess separations challenges.
